Lead Youth Faith Formation & Volunteer Engagement at Plymouth Church!
Are you a creative, inclusive leader passionate about guiding youth and families in their faith journey? Do you excel at connecting people and fostering community? If so, we’re looking for you to join us as our Youth and Volunteer Director.
What You’ll Do:
Youth & Family Ministry: You’ll inspire and educate our youth in progressive Christian faith, leveraging your:
- Deep commitment to progressive Christian faith education for youth.
- Proven experience in youth programming and classroom instruction.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with volunteers.
Volunteer & Community Engagement: You’ll strengthen our church community by:
- Developing and nurturing a robust small group ministry.
- Creating a comprehensive assimilation structure to welcome new attendees.
- Connecting staff, lay leaders, and partner organizations to ensure seamless volunteer efforts.
- Engaging new attendees to identify their interests, expertise, and availability, and guiding them toward meaningful service opportunities within Plymouth or with our community partners.
This position involves a commitment of about 25 hours per week, including weekday preparation (Tuesday-Friday) and Sunday morning presence (typically 8 AM – 12 PM).
