SOA, a casual, fun organization committed to serving older adults within the community, is looking for a Human Resources Administrator. We are looking for candidates that share our passion about serving older adults and are visionary about creating and expanding services.

Position Summary:

This part-time position (20 hours per week) is responsible for all Human Resources administrative tasks including but not limited to job posting, resume screening, interview scheduling, onboarding, updating personnel policies and procedures, employee insurance enrollment, rewriting job descriptions, and maintaining personnel records.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for recruitment and hiring including writing job postings, posting open positions, screening candidates, communicating with candidates, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, and related follow up
  • Working with the CEO and the leadership team, reviews and updates personnel policies, procedures and the employee handbook
  • Enrolls new employees in the employee insurance plans
  • Responsible for updating job descriptions as needed, and maintaining personnel records
  • Runs background checks for new employees, senior interns, and select volunteers
  • Maintains employee data lists as needed 
  • Conducts New Employee Onboarding and Orientations
  • Fulfills contract compliance data reporting with Human Resources information
  • Serves as the Equal Employment Opportunity administrator
  • Maintains personnel records
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred but not required
  • Two years of office experience
  • Attention to detail; high degree of accuracy
  • Must be able to work well with people from all cultures and backgrounds
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to be tactful and discreet
  • Must be computer proficient in Word and Excel 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and adequate vehicle insurance.
