This role will collaborate closely with executive and program leadership to uphold the highest standards of fiscal oversight and customer service across all facets of network operations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and manage the accounting department staff
  • Assist in new customer development and growth of accounting services business

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General ledger entry and preparation
  • Monitoring cash status
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Prepare and submit monthly cost reports and invoice to funders and customers
  • Review and ensure accurate submission of payroll. Apply all payroll standards required by state and federal law. 
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget
  • Prepare year-end audit schedules and work with external auditor
  • Prepare fiscal analyses, forecasts, and projections for CEO/COO
  • Financial presentations to Board of Trustees
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong, transparent, high-integrity leadership
  • Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in bringing people together to solve problems
  • High competency in the use of Excel

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
  • 5-8 years related experience
  • Experience in nonprofit accounting preferred
  • Experience managing accounting staff preferred
