Part-time 20-30 hours/week as Helpline Parent Coach and Parent Education and Support Assistant at The Parenting Network. Includes 2 evenings per week to provide assistance in ZOOM classrooms. Prefer 2 years experience in social work, counseling, psychology or human services. Strong active listening skills, knowledge of child development and positive parenting. Must be flexible, dependable, nonjudgmental and have computer skills. Must have highspeed reliable internet. Position works primarily remote. Position is dependent on available funding. $16.50 an hour. Position will remain open until a candidate has been hired.
Purpose: Parent Helpline staff provide coaching and support to parents/caregivers. Parent Helpline staff will respond to all inquiries regarding parenting concerns utilizing best practices and evidence-based models, program information and community resources. As the HELPLINE is an integral part of the Parent Education and Support program, Helpline staff will also assist in the ZOOM classroom helping to assign participants to breakout rooms and monitoring the chat feature.
