Donor Support Specialist

Position Purpose: The Donor Support Specialist is a full-time position primarily responsible for providing support to external UPAF constituents, including donors, volunteers and others. Coordinates donor relations activities (receipting, benefits, customer service, etc.) to ensure optimal donor satisfaction, ultimately leading to retaining donors and achieving fundraising campaign goals. Candidates for this position must have exceptional customer service skills, excellent written and verbal communication, impeccable organization and attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks of competing priorities.


  1. Generate and mail weekly receipt communications, fulfill mass benefit and other donor related mailings, and process other outgoing mail.
  2. Receive, resolve and respond to requests and inquiries from UPAF constituents through the main phone and email channels.
  3. Provide user support for the UPAF SMART CARD, performance vouchers, and workplace giving donor portal.
  4. Process inbound mail, credit card, and other payments.
  5. Other duties as requested.


A minimum of two years of experience in an office environment preferred. Candidate must be customer service focused, friendly, organized and flexible. Willingness and ability to quickly learn and manage a variety of tasks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office tools, basic mail merge experience a plus.

  • Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Salary $40k/year
