Conducting an Environmental Scan (Nonprofit Virtual Education Series: Tools of the Trade 2022)

UW-Madison Extension Dane County is offering a free virtual education session for nonprofit leaders on “Conducting an Environmental Scan”:

“Conducting an Environmental Scan: Learn how to engage your board and staff in evaluating the internal and external environment for your readiness to embark on a new project or initiative, or to expand current activities. What does your organization excel at? Where are your strengths? Where are there barriers or gaps that you must address? Who are your competitors or potential partners? What external factors might support or hinder your work? There’s a lot of tools available for doing an environmental scan (SWOT, PESTEL, force field analysis). During this session, we’ll look at a few of these and examine when they might be useful.”
