“What: Lunch and Learn – Cultural Competence: Your Leadership Superpower

Location: Loving Venti’s office at Sherman Phoenix Marketplace, 3536 W Fond du Lac Ave, Milwaukee

Cost: Free

Lunch: Guests are welcome to bring their own lunch or purchase food on-site at Sherman Phoenix. Food and drink options are listed on the Sherman Phoenix Marketplace website. Currently available: soup and sandwiches at Baked Dreams, protein shakes and nutri-teas at Cinnabar, homestyle cooking (including a vegan menu) at Just4You, and homestyle comfort soul food at Richmond’s.

Parking: Free parking is available in the Sherman Phoenix parking lot

Grab lunch from one of the nearby restaurants, settle in alongside fellow consultants, and get ready for an afternoon of real conversation and learning.

Cultural Competence: Your Leadership Superpower

Workforce expectations and dynamics have changed, but leadership skill development has not kept pace. Cultural competence enables leaders to foster trust, improve communication, and create environments where people can perform at their best. We will explore why cultural competence is more essential than ever and how consultants can relate and work more effectively with their clients. Participants will engage in an inclusive language activity and peer-to-peer discussion. You will leave with a deeper awareness of how maximizing this skill can be a true leadership superpower.
