Tuesday AM — ACAP’s Next Level Kitchen; Tuesday PM — Lawn & Leisure. Wednesday AM — Bus-y Bodies; Wednesday PM — Roots & Routes: A Journey Through Ancestry & Heritage. Thursday AM — Townin’ Around; Thursday PM — Forest & River Bathing. Friday AM — Plant-ish: The Art of Almost Nature; Friday PM — Barre Balance.

Wages:
Pay range is from $37,440-45,760 annually, depending on education and experience. ACAP urges individuals who have just graduated, who have non-traditional work histories, or who are returning to the work force after stay-at-home parenting to apply. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and facilitate opportunities for member participation in the community and within ACAP. We offer programming in these areas: self- and systems-advocacy, the arts, education & enrichment, sports & recreation, and community service.
- Some administrative responsibilities:
- Various reports as needed.
- Twice annual reports on what we call Consumer Meetings (feedback meetings).
- Partner cultivation (ACAP works with more than 60 community partners).
- Assist members in all aspects of their ACAP experience
- Goal setting and progress.
- Enable members to participate as independently as possible.
- Responding professionally to challenging behaviors.
- Personal care needs for those who need personal cares, including washroom, meals, mobility, etc.
- Maintain high professional standards in a people-first, flexible, creative, energetic, team-approach work environment.
- Mastery of basic workplace competencies, such as punctuality, cooperation and collegiality, professionalism, adhering to workplace policies, and support of organizational philosophy.
- Prioritization of member needs.
- Clear, respectful, responsive communication.
- Team approach to problem solving.
- Serve as ACAP Coordinator (primary contact person) for a number of ACAP members, facilitating their experiences at ACAP and being our liaison for care teams.
- Drive members in ACAP vehicles as per programming.
- Support and/or participate in ACAP fundraising events as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Therapeutic Recreation, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Art Therapy, or a related field; or 2-3 years related experience and/or training with people with disabilities; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products. User’s acquaintance with Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Excel.
Minimum:
- A work history demonstrating responsibility, integrity, and respect for others.
