Bloom Art & Integrated Therapies Mission:

The practitioners at Bloom integrate counseling and art and music therapy approaches with integrity to ease suffering, facilitate regulation, promote self-expression, and to create opportunities for personal and collective growth. Bloom is an innovator in the art therapy world and continues to expand it’s offerings to meet the emerging needs of the greater Milwaukee area through collaborating with community partners. All of Bloom’s art therapy locations provide an inclusive space to receive mental health services, share community strengths, and connect to creative experiences.
18 hours a week (considered .50 FTE)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assess emotional and behavioral needs for students ages 8-18
- Plan and implement individual and group music therapy services
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team through MPS, BLOOM art therapists, and various SC program partners to evaluate treatment progress
- Communicate with student’s home school staff and caregivers
- Attend and/or facilitate treatment progress meetings
Qualifications
- Must meet the educational requirements to become a board certified music therapist and can be working toward credentialing. Wisconsin offers a Wisconsin Music Therapist – Registered (WMTR) credential.
- Must hold the national Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) credential from the Certification Board for Music Therapists.
