The Executive Leadership Team of Family Services has an opening for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Green Bay, who is responsible for managing the financial operations of our organization, ensuring the organization’s financial health and sustainability. The CFO leads our Accounting & Payroll Team, Accounting Manager and Director of Support Systems & Services. The CFO works closely with the President/CEO and Board of Directors to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization’s mission and goals. Additional duties include managing relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors and other financial service providers and providing guidance and support as needed and providing leadership and mentorship to the Accounting Team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
This role will proactively lead all forecasting, financial analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, and tax and compliance requirements ensuring Family Services is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations including the requirements of our multiple government and private funding streams.
Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent education and experience as well as 5-7 years of leadership experience in Accounting/Finance Dept. Preferred candidates will have a MBA and/or CPA and 7+years’ accounting and finance experience with 5+ years in senior leadership preferably in a combination of profit and nonprofit organizations. Knowledge of Office of Management and Budget (OMB), federal, state, and local laws, standards and requirements related to non-profit accounting is also preferred. Candidates must have a demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); proven track record of successful financial management, including experience developing and implementing financial strategies, managing budgets, and overseeing financial reporting and compliance; strong leadership and management skills, with experience building and leading high-performing teams; demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills including the ability to quickly and effectively analyze, compare and interpret data; strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
