We are seeking a strategic, mission-driven Vice President of Human Resources to lead and elevate the organization’s People & Culture function. This is a key executive leadership role focused on building a strong, sustainable organization and workforce that advances our client’s community-centered mission.
Reporting directly to the President and managing a small HR team, the VP of HR will shape systems to support both operational excellence and meaningful community outcomes.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executive Leadership & Organizational Strategy
- Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team
- Lead workforce planning, organization design, and staffing strategy
- Advise executive leadership on structure, performance, and organizational health
- Drive performance management systems and accountability frameworks
- Lead culture, values, and mission alignment initiatives
- Oversee organizational change management efforts
- Guide succession planning and high-potential employee development
- Conduct workforce risk assessments and organizational climate monitoring
- Align HR strategy with program leadership and mission-based employment initiatives
- Lead continuous improvement across the full employee lifecycle
Employee Relations & Leadership Support
- Provide coaching and strategic support to organizational leaders
- Lead complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations
- Serve as primary liaison to employment counsel
- Guide leadership communication during change initiatives
- Oversee performance appraisal and compensation processes
- Lead compensation strategy, benchmarking, and pay equity analysis
Operations & Compliance Oversight
- Oversee HR policies, procedures, and governance
- Monitor workforce analytics, turnover trends, and reporting
- Lead HR budget planning and workforce forecasting
- Manage HRIS and People & Culture vendor partnerships
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and workforce regulations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR or organizational leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Employee relations
- Organizational development
- Workforce planning
- Compliance oversight
- Professional HR certification required
Work Environment
This position operates primarily in a professional onsite office environment with regular movement throughout the facilities as needed.
