Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager of Program Services, the Coaching Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership, management, recruitment, and training to all Career Advancement Coaches. The Coaching Coordinator is also responsible for meeting with students regularly to coach, discuss and document the student’s progress in the program. The Coaching Coordinator will manage a caseload of 30 – 35 students. Weekly class is held at designated sites. The coach can meet with students virtually or in-person for individual coaching sessions. In-person meetings must occur at a Lead2Change-approved location. This position requires coaches to attend team meetings and events like the Commitment and Completion Ceremonies.
Job Responsibilities:
Coach Leadership
- Provide leadership, management, recruitment, and training to all coaches.
- Lead monthly coaching team meetings and facilitate monthly individual check-in meetings for each coach.
- Observe each coach in the classroom once per month and provide feedback using the quality check indicators.
- Ensure coaches comply with classroom and coaching expectations, including providing coaching sessions to their caseload and completing the appropriate paperwork.
- Monitor attendance, case notes, and student files to ensure monthly coach records are complete and accurate.
- Troubleshoot non-human resources-related issues/concerns with coaches
- Provide coaches with pertinent information from internal and external stakeholders weekly.
- Assist coaches in troubleshooting issues/concerns with students, parents, schools, and program sites.
Coach Engagement
- Attend weekly Dream.Explore.Build. Classes with students and attend special events (e.g., Boot Camps, Internship Interviews, etc.) – track student attendance, assist in classroom management and student engagement, create individualized learning opportunities, and make connections between class and coaching sessions.
- Meet with each student in caseload monthly for 30 minutes – prepare individualized coaching session agendas, build and maintain supportive relationships, and document coaching sessions.
- Coordinate and attend one wraparound opportunity for students (e.g., Driver’s Education, ACT preparation, etc.).
- Collaborate with students, students’ instructors, students’ families, and students’ schools to successfully ensure students’ completion of the program.
- Track students’ progress in the program by keeping up-to-date, detailed case notes and reporting to Lead Career Advancement Coach.
- Participate in Lead2Change team meetings, supervision meetings, cohort meetings, and Problem of Practice sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Community Development, or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in youth development, college and career readiness, education, or related field.
- A minimum of one year of supervisory experience.

Target Salary Range:
- $45,000 – $50,000 annually (Final salary offer contingent upon skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to the position)
