Legacy Redevelopment Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Loan Program Assistant to support our Loan Department with loan servicing, documentation, customer service, reporting, and administrative functions.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in banking, financial services, loan operations, lending, or customer service who enjoys working with numbers, documents, systems, and people. The successful candidate will be organized, accurate, comfortable working independently, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Process commercial, small business and real estate loan payments, advances, and payoff requests.
- Maintain accurate loan records, files, and documentation in loan servicing systems.
- Assist with booking new loans and closing paid loans.
- Monitor loan documentation and follow up on outstanding items, including UCC filings, mortgages, insurance, financial statements, and tax returns.
- Review and process loan draw requests and supporting documentation.
- Calculate loan payoff amounts and respond to routine customer and loan officer inquiries.
- Assist with charged-off, REO, and non-accrual loan servicing.
- Maintain insurance records and communicate with insurance agents, loan officers, and customers.
- Prepare and distribute loan reports and assist with internal and external audits/examinations.
- Support compliance-related reporting and documentation.
- Collect and organize social impact information related to LRC’s loan portfolio.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Loan Department as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; or three years of related experience/training.
- Experience in financial institution operations, lending, sales, or customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with confidential financial information.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic math skills and the ability to calculate balances, interest, and routine financial information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, punctual and follow through on assignments.
Preferred:
- Experience with commercial or real estate loan servicing.
- Experience with loan management or financial software.
- Familiarity with UCC filings, insurance documentation, loan compliance, or financial institution operations.
