Mommies Make It Better (MMIB) is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as Vice President of our Founding Board of Directors. This individual will partner closely with the President and Founder to help strengthen the organization, guide strategic decisions, and build the systems necessary for long-term growth.
The Vice President is more than a second-in-command—they are a thought partner, problem solver, and leader who helps transform vision into action while ensuring MMIB remains mission-focused and sustainable.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the President and Founder on strategic planning and organizational growth.
- Help strengthen board governance and organizational systems.
- Support board development and committee oversight.
- Identify opportunities for growth, partnerships, and community impact.
- Lead board meetings in the President’s absence.
- Serve as an ambassador for MMIB throughout Wisconsin.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, and a healthy board culture.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who:
- Thinks strategically and enjoys building organizations.
- Has leadership experience in nonprofit, business, education, healthcare, government, or community settings.
- Is skilled at identifying opportunities and solving complex problems.
- Communicates with professionalism, empathy, and integrity.
- Values collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Is passionate about empowering mothers and strengthening communities.
- Resides in Wisconsin (Milwaukee area preferred).
Lived experience as a mother or caregiver is valued, but we welcome leaders from diverse professional backgrounds who are passionate about MMIB’s mission.
