Job Description

The Marketing & Outreach Coordinator supports the organization’s mission by increasing community awareness, strengthening relationships, and promoting programs and events. This role combines marketing, communications, and community engagement responsibilities. Success in this position requires a collaborative, organized, and adaptable team member who is willing to support a variety of organizational needs.

Key Marketing Duties

• Content & Design:
  • Create and manage content across marketing channels including social media, newsletters, handouts/collateral, signage, and websites for VC & The Hub
  • Assist with storytelling, impact reporting, and highlighting success stories
  • Capture photo and video content during programs and events
  • Organize and maintain content libraries and marketing tools such as Canva and Google Drive
• Marketing Email:
  • Assist with contact strategy, campaign planning, and content development
  • Help maintain accurate contact lists and audience segmentation
  • Schedule and deploy marketing emails and communications
• Social Media:
  • Help manage strategy across all social media channels
  • Maintain a consistent brand presence and voice across platforms
  • Manage content plans for both VC and The Hub while balancing brand awareness, program promotion, and community impact messaging
• Website Content Management
  • Update website content as needed
  • Utilize the event section to consistently promote events and opportunities for community involvement
  • Coordinate communication with outside agencies or vendors for website support and development needs
• Maintain Brand Voice:
  • Ensure consistent messaging, tone, and visual identity across all marketing channels
• Calendar & Prioritization:
  • Manage marketing calendars and communication schedules to support organizational priorities
• Measurement & Reporting:
  • Track and report basic marketing performance metrics
  • Apply insights and best practices to improve future campaigns, including engagement, reach, and email performance

Community Outreach Support

• Represent the organization at community events and outreach opportunities as needed
• Assist with planning and promotion for programs and special events
• Support event logistics including signage, slideshows, and event communications
• Provide on-site support during events and volunteer program activities
• Perform other duties as needed. As part of a small team, all staff members contribute to supporting events, programs, and organizational initiatives when needed
