The Waukesha Free Clinic is Wisconsin’s longest running free and charitable clinic, providing completely free healthcare to the uninsured and low-income people who live, work, or attend school in Waukesha County since 1977. We seek dedicated and motivated individuals with a finance background that does not have to be tied to healthcare who are interested in helping us overlook and grow our financial sustainability. This will include supporting the annual audit, overseeing growing investment portfolio, and considering future financial goals. Degree or work experience in finance appreciated, knowledge of basic financial concepts relating to audits, nonprofits, taxes, investments, etc. is required for this committee. This person would sit on our full board of directors and have an assignment to our finance committee.

Next steps would include setting up an in-person clinic tour, then inviting you to meet in-person or virtually with another board director who can speak to their direct experience on our board. Last, you will have a formal nomination at a full board meeting followed by a board orientation session.
