HIRING & RETENTION BONUS
We are also offering $500 in hiring and retention bonuses for this role! A new full-time or part-time Ozaukee Campus Animal Care Technician/Adoption Counselor will be eligible to receive a $250 bonus upon completion of their first 90 days of employment and a second $250 bonus after completion of their first 6 months of employment! That’s a grand total of $500! To be eligible, the employee must maintain full-time or part-time status at the time the bonus is administered. The bonus will not be prorated if an employee does not reach the 90-day and 6-month timelines.
Position Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Provide animals with food, water, enrichment, and other essential daily needs
- Help animals find new homes via our same-day adoption process
- Commit to a welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental approach with all clients, callers, and coworkers
- Maintain clean animal housing following our high-standard cleaning guidelines
- Welcome new arrivals via owner surrenders, stray intake, transfers from other organizations, and end-of-life services
- Administer medical treatments under the direction of a veterinarian
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in our animal management software
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Availability to work some evenings, a weekend shift, and a rotating holiday
- Must be able to routinely carry 25lbs and up to 50lbs

- Prior animal care experience is a plus
