Job Summary

The SET Career Community Advisor coordinates and delivers career development programming, resource materials, and advising to students and alumni. The incumbent to this position educates students, alumni and other stakeholders about career development and opportunities and maintains relationships to aid in effective career planning. The Career Community Advisor manages one or more career communities and strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience working in university or college career services, employer relations, university recruiting, talent acquisition/recruiting in corporate environment, event planning/marketing or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Human Resources, Psychology, Marketing, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or another closely related field
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, particularly, students, faculty, and professionals
  • Previous experience facilitating workshops and programs and presenting to large audiences, including in a higher education classroom environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and strong commitment to creating an inclusive work and learning environment
