WEST BEND COLUMNS Executive Director
Job Description
Location: West Bend, WI
Status: Salaried Position
Salary: $40,000 – $60,000 commensurate with experience
Working primarily during the day, but weekends and evenings as needed. Must be located in West Bend area to meet with donors, community members, Board of Directors, and West Bend High School staff.
About this Role: This role reports to the COLUMNS Board of Directors and manages operational, financial, and administrative operations. The individual in this role must have the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and serves as the Organization’s spokesperson. Also, the individual must be able to travel throughout the West Bend area.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with Donors, Community members, COLUMNS Board of Directors and West Bend High School staff to support the mission of the COLUMNS Organization
- Responsible for Fund Development
- Leads, Plans and Executes Fundraisers and Youth Concert
- Facilitates Scholarship Administration
- Coordinates all Marketing and Communications
- Prepares Budgets and Works with Treasurer on Financial Reporting
- Organizes Board and Committee meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Demonstrated Management Skills
- Experience Managing Financial Records
- Grant Writing Experience
- Fundraising Experience
- History of Working with Community Stakeholders
- 5+ years of Non-profit Experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office

COLUMNS is an all-volunteer scholarship foundation started over 50 years ago by a few West Bend individuals.
The vision of the West Bend COLUMNS Scholarship Foundation is to transform lives by creating pathways to advanced education for graduates of West Bend High Schools.
Our mission is to encourage graduates of the West Bend High Schools to continue advanced education by providing academic and technical scholarships.
We have grown over the years and are seeking an Executive Director to help us fulfill our mission of advancing higher education.
